About Me – River at Rivers Tutoring

Hello! My name is River, and I’m a passionate home educator and tutor. I have two children, Alex and James, both of whom have SEN, and I’ve been home educating them since 2023.

Our home is lively and full of rescue animals — mostly cats, who you may occasionally see in the background during online lessons! We love spending time outdoors, especially on holidays or days out at the beach, which is our happy place.

I started Rivers Tutoring because I wanted to help other parents navigate their children’s education journeys — particularly those who are home educating, or whose children have SEN. While I’m home teaching my own children, I also want to share my experience, knowledge, and resources with other families in a structured, supportive, and enjoyable way.
